The Fish House Lodge started as a weekend retreat for one family who wanted a place to slow down. Thirty-eight years later, we still open the door the same way — with a warm greeting, a fresh pot of coffee, and a genuine interest in making your stay feel like coming home.
We sit on the edge of a clear, fishing-rich lake in the heart of the Northville Forelands, surrounded by miles of protected forest. Whether you're here to cast a line at dawn, hike the trails that start right out your door, or simply sit on the porch and watch the fog lift — this is the kind of place that stays with you.

The Pines Cabin
A intimate retreat for two, nestled among white pines just steps from the water. Queen bed, wood-burning stove, and a private deck perfect for morning coffee.
The Lakehouse Suite
Our most popular option — a full suite with separate living area, king bed, and a kitchenette. Ideal for couples or a small family wanting extra space.
The Family Loaf
Built for groups and families — two bedrooms, a full bath, and a screened porch where you can watch dragonflies hover over the water without a single bite.

Freshwater Fishing
Smallmouth bass, pickerel, and perch in our private stretch of lake. We provide rods and bait for guests — beginner and experienced anglers welcome.
Trail Access
Miles of marked and unmarked trails begin at the end of our driveway. From easy lakeside strolls to challenging ridge hikes — there's a path for every pace.
Kayaking & Canoeing
Paddle at your own pace — we keep a couple of kayaks and a canoe available for guests. The lake is calm, clear, and full of life.
Stargazing
Zero light pollution means the Milky Way is visible from the dock. Grab a blanket, sit on the steps, and let your eyes adjust. It's unforgettable.
Campfire Evenings
We keep firewood stocked and the pit ready. Evenings by the water with s'mores and stories are the kind of memories that last longer than the trip.
Wildlife Watching
Loons call at dawn, herons stand motionless in the shallows, and deer come down to the water's edge every evening. Bring binoculars — or just bring your eyes.

We're located on the shore of a pristine lake in Northville, New York — roughly halfway between Albany and Syracuse, deep in the heart of the Adirondack Park. The road ends at our driveway. That's the point.
